Stair na Scoile

Bunaíodh Gaelscoil Éadan Doire i 2008. Ba chúis mhór áthais agus bród a bhí ann

de Lesley Gavin (cathaoirleach na Scoile), Póla Ní Chinnsealaigh (iar-phríomhoide

na scoile), baill den choiste bunaithe agus tuismitheoirí na bpáistí a bhí cláraithe

don chéad bhliain nuair a d’oscail an scoil don chéad uair riamh. Is de bharr

dílseacht agus dian obair an choiste bhunaithe a bunaíodh an scoil ar an gcéad dul

síos agus beidh páistí, tuismitheoirí agus foireann na scoile i gconaí buíoch do na

daoine seo.

Chaith an scoil sé bliana sa pháirc tionsclaíochta ar Bhóthar JKL sa bhaile sular

bhog sí isteach chuig an bhfoirgneamh reatha buan i 2014.

Tá an scoil ag dul ó neart go neart gach bliain. Osclaíodh rang speisialta do ASD i

2017 agus tá go leor bainte amach ag pobal agus páistí na scoile ó shin.

Tá cultúr iontach gaelach cruthaithe againn sa scoil le caighdeán ard-oideachas

agus ba mhaith linn fáilte a chur romhaibh chuig ár suíomh gréasáin nua. Tá súil

againn go mbainfidh sibh sult as agus go bhfoghlaimeoidh sibh beagán faoi ár scoil.

The School’s History:

Gaelscoil Éadan Doire was founded in 2008. This proved to be a very joyous and proud

occasion for Lesley Gavin (school chairperson), Póla Ní Chinnsealaigh (former

principal), the founding committee and the parents of the children enrolled for the

school’s first year. It was due to the loyalty and all the hard work of the founding

committee that the school was established and the children, parents and school staff will

be forever grateful to this small group of people.

The school spent six years in temporary accommodation in the Business Park on JKL

Street in the town before moving into its current permanent building in 2014.

The school is developing all the time. A special class for ASD was opened in 2017 and

the school community and children have achieved a tremendous amount over the years.

The school has succeeded in creating a strong Irish culture with extremely high

educational standards. We would like to welcome you to our new website and we hope

that you enjoy it and learn a little about our school.
